Infant Side (Firm 85D), from 6 to 18 months. Designed for when your baby moves from the bassinet to the cot. For the first 6 months, Red Nose recommends your baby sleeps in their own safe sleep space in your room. Many families use a bassinet for this stage. When it’s time to transition, the infant side is firm, flat and breathable, and independently tested to AS/NZS 8811.1:2013.

Toddler Side (Medium-Firm 75D), from 18 months onwards. Once your little one is moving, rolling, and asserting their opinions about bedtime, the toddler side delivers the comfort and support their more active sleep requires. Still firm enough for proper spinal support, with just enough softness to keep up with them. Simply flip when they're ready. One mattress, built to grow with your child through their toddler years. Red Nose recommends babies sleep in their own safe sleep space in their parents’ room for at least the first 6 months, and many families use a bassinet for this stage. Our cot mattress is designed for the move from bassinet to cot. The infant side is independently tested to AS/NZS 8811.1:2013, the Australian/New Zealand firmness standard for infant sleep surfaces. Always place your baby on their back, and keep the cot free of pillows, bumpers, toys and loose bedding.

Use the infant side (Firm 85D) from 6 to 18 months. From 18 months, once your little one is moving, rolling and more active, simply flip the mattress to the toddler side (Medium-Firm 75D). It is still firm enough for proper spinal support, with just enough softness for their more active sleep. One mattress takes your child through their toddler years, with no new mattress needed.

The core is two 5cm layers of Regenagri certified 100% regenerative natural latex: a firm 85D infant side and a medium-firm 75D toddler side. The cover is three layers of certified organic cotton (a knitted outer, a wadding layer and a woven backing), bonded directly to the core with natural latex adhesive so the sleep surface stays taut and flat. It contains no springs, no coils, no polyurethane foam, no memory foam and no chemical flame retardants.
