From the Ground Up

One rubber tree makes a world of difference. A single rubber tree can yield sap to produce 3 to 8 latex mattresses. Rubber trees can be sustainably hand tapped for about 30 years, simultaneously absorbing 1.76 metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Every acre of rubber trees removes over 144 tons of carbon dioxide over its lifetime. Our Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification confirms our commitment to sustainable land management, keeping us accountable that plantations are kept thriving.

Your Peace Lily product has been handmade by highly skilled Peace Lily team members. Our Sri Lankan factory provides fair, ethical jobs benefiting local communities, evidenced by our FSC certification. Our commitment to providing livelihood opportunities drives our growth with the future launch of our manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka in 2024.

Sleep Naturally: The Environmental Impact of Your Choice

Choosing Peace Lily means you choose to align with responsible production. “Throwaway mattresses” make use of synthetic materials sourced from petrochemicals that end up in landfills as bulky and toxic waste. Your Peace Lily products are biodegradable, but also highly durable - indeed they last over two decades. To support our commitment to future generations, the vulcanisation process is powered by biomass boilers and the water used in production is not released into the Sri Lankan ecosystem.
